Walgreens—the largest drugstore chain
in the United States—operates nearly
7,000 drugstores in all 50 states, the
District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
In 2007, one of Walgreens’ distribution
centres opened its doors to both the
abled and disabled workforce.
This success story is all about
the people—including the
developmentally challenged, those
with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome,
autism, people who use wheelchairs,
who are missing limbs, who are deaf,
or who have schizophrenia.
Find out how they've not only changed the
face of their distribution centers, but also
the hearts and lives of its employees.
